BadUSB software is released to public
Security

After showing there BadUSB usb stick on the defcon, now the source and how they make the usb stick is uploaded to github (https://github.com/adamcaudill/Psychson).

Its never been easier to make a infecting USB stick, that can steal your wallet.dat and even intall keyloger (in case you have your wallet encrypted whit a password).

The vulnerability known as "BadUSB" has the ability to spread itself by injecting itself in the firmware of the usb stick. After that when you plug it in your computer it utilizes a security flaw in the USB (Windows,Linux and Mac based OS) that allows the hacker to insert any kind of code into your computer.

The good news so far is that at the moment only USB manufactured by Phison electronics can be modified to use this exploit.

Bad news is that it can infect any device that are plugged into the "modified" USB.

The worst news is that this exploit is UNPATCHABLE. The only way to "secure" your pc is to never plug any USB stick/hard disks or phones on it.

Even after you format your usb device, the exploits stays in the firmware of the device.
